American man wanted by border agents arrested near London

Police in London and Middlesex County helped the Canada Border Services Agency track down a man who barreled through the Bluewater Bridge border crossing over the weekend.

Border agents reached out to London police and Middlesex OPP after the vehicle failed to stop around 9:40 a.m. on Saturday.

The suspect vehicle was found in the area of Rebecca and Robin's Hill roads in Thames Centre.

Officers arrested the suspected driver after scouring fields and trails in the area. The OPP aviation unit assisted with the search.

A 38-year-old Moville, Iowa man is charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, flight from peace officers, and mischief over $5,000. The accused was remanded into custody.
