Woman faces manslaughter charge after death in south London

A 39-year-old woman has been charged with manslaughter after a death at a south London home.

Police were called to a home on Wilkins Street near Sandringham Crescent around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday.

Once they arrived, they found a woman who had died, and a news release said the death was suspicious.

A woman was arrested at the scene.

On Thursday afternoon, police announced the manslaughter charge in the death of a 59-year-old woman.

The names of both the accused the the deceased have not been released.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
