Woman found dead in south London home

Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman inside a south London home.

Emergency crews received a 911 call about an altercation at the home on Wilkins Street near Sandringham Crescent around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday.

When London police and paramedics arrived they found one woman dead.

Another woman was arrested at the scene. She remains in police custody.

No other information including the name of the deceased or a possible cause of death have been released.

"The investigation is in its early stages and more information will be provided as it becomes available," police said.
