St. Thomas police investigate assault outside of business

St. Thomas police are asking anyone who witnessed an assault in the city's downtown Friday afternoon to come forward.

Officers are investigating the incident that happened in front of a local business on Talbot Street east of Elgin Street around 3 p.m.

A male pedestrian was approached by a man who got out of the passenger side of a silver Ford F-150.

Police said and an "altercation" occurred and the pedestrian suffered a minor injury.

The suspect left the area and went eastbound along Talbot Street.
