Pedestrian hurt in Richmond Row collision

A 21-year-old woman was taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle on Richmond Street early Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the stretch of road between Oxford and Piccadilly streets just before 12:30 a.m.

The woman was crossing the downtown street just north of the train tracks when she was struck, London police said.

She suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was not hurt.

Richmond was closed for approximately two and a half hours. It reopened just after 3 a.m.
