Woman charged with impaired after crash with city bus

Police in Woodstock say a 22-year-old woman had more than two times the legal limit of alcohol in her system when her car collided with a city bus and another vehicle.

The city bus was in the area of Nellis Street and Lansdowne Avenue when it was hit around 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday. The vehicle that struck it did not stop.

A second collision involving the suspect vehicle happened a short time later at the intersection of Nellis Street and Springbank Avenue.

Woodstock police were called and arrested a 22-year-old woman after she provided a breath sample that allegedly registered over double the legal limit.

She is charged with failure to stop after a collision, driving while impaired, and impaired driving with a blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.
