For the second weekend in a row, a section of Highway 401 and Highway 402 in the London-area will be closed overnight.
The Ministry of Transportation will shutdown all lanes of the 401 between Wonderland Road and Wellington Road and the eastbound lanes of the 402 from Wonderland to the merger with the 401 from 8 p.m. on Saturday until 10 a.m. on Sunday.
The closure is to allow for the demolition of the Dingman Drive underpass.
Signage advising drivers of the upcoming overnight closure has been put in place. Detours have been set-up to redirect eastbound traffic onto Wonderland Road, Manning Drive and then to Wellington Road. Westbound vehicles will be rerouted the opposite direction going from Wellington Road to Manning Drive and then onto Wonderland Road.
"Major traffic delays are expected," the ministry said.
For three nights starting last Saturday, a stretch of the 401 between Dorchester Road and Veterans Memorial Parkway was closed as crews demolished the Westchester Bourne Road underpass.
