A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a serious assault near downtown London that sent two people to hospital last week.
The young person, whose name can't be released because of their age, was taken into custody in the area of Quebec Street and Mornington Avenue around 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
That individual was one of two youths wanted by way of warrant for aggravated assault, assault, and breaking and entering. The charges stem from what police have called a "targeted attack" at a home on Wellington Street near Grey Street last Thursday.
Three people were assaulted at the two-storey house around 2:45 a.m. - two suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and the third had minor injuries.
Three people took off before police arrived and an “edged weapon” was found at the scene, London police said. There are unconfirmed reports a machete was used in the attack.
A 36-year-old London man was arrested and charged the night of the assault.
The search is continuing for a second young person.
