Three more COVID-19 cases reported in Thames Valley schools

Several new positive cases of COVID-19 popped up at Thames Valley schools in the London-area on Thursday.

According to local health officials, two more schools were added to the list of schools with active infections. The cases were identified at Eagle Heights Public School in London and John Wise Public School in St. Thomas

The outbreak at Lord Elgin Public School also grew by one Thursday marking a total of 12 active cases however, one case has been declared resolved.

Aside from Lord Elgin, all schools remain open.

Earlier this week, the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) forced the closure at Lord Elgin due to the rising number of cases as it began to pose challenges in operations.

Only those identified as a close contact of an affected individual will hear from the school board with further instructions.

As of Thursday evening, there are 23 active cases within 12 TVDSB schools.
