Teen arrested after weapon pulled during argument

A 17-year-old Woodstock boy is in police custody after a weapon was pulled on a man during an argument in the city.

Woodstock police, including members of the containment team and community response unit, responded to a weapons call in the area of James Street near Teeple Street around 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday.

Officers determined a verbal argument escalated when a teenager allegedly brandished a weapon at a 38-year-old man.

There is no word on what type of weapon was used in the incident.

A 17-year-old Woodstock boy was arrested at the scene. So far, no charges have been laid.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
