Officials with the local public school board recorded just four new probable cases of COVID-19 on Monday.
A release sent out by the Thames Valley District School Board late Monday evening stated the cases were found at Byron Somerset Public School and Riverside Public School in London and Winchester Street Public School in Woodstock.
The outbreak that forced the closure of Wilberforce Public School in Lucan grew by one additional case on Monday for a total of 16 active cases.
Letters have been sent out by the school board to those identified as close contacts of the affected individuals. The TVDSB said the local health units will follow up directly with specific testing advice.
"Thames Valley is following all health and safety protocols recommended by both the local public health unit and the Ministry of Education, and schools remain safe places to attend," the board said in a statement.
There are now 45 active cases of COVID-19 within London-area public schools. A break down of all cases can be found on the Thames Valley's website.
