The Middlesex-London Health Unit is reporting 16 new infections Sunday, along with 18 resolved cases.
The number of active cases in the community, as of Sunday, is 127. No new deaths were reported.
Public health announced the death of a man in his 90s Saturday. The COVID-19 death toll in the London area is now at 250.
There has now been a total of 14,734 confirmed cases in the London area since the start of the pandemic.
The London Health Sciences Centre says it is caring for 19 COVID-19 patients. Eight patients are in intensive care. None of the patients in intensive care are in Children’s Hospital.
As of Friday in Elgin and Oxford counties, 38 new cases were reported by Southwestern Public Health.
There are three active outbreaks at schools in the London area. They are at Mary Wright Public School in Strathroy and Notre Dame Catholic, St Vincent De Paul Catholic Elementary in London.
The Thames Valley school board also reported additional cases at three more schools on Friday. Those schools are Glendale High School, Oakridge Secondary School and Westfield Public School.
The province reported 734 new cases Sunday and three new deaths.
