GO-VAXX bus pulls into London Saturday

The province's mobile vaccination clinic will make a stop in the Pond Mills neighbourhood this weekend.

The Middlesex London Health Unit has confirmed Ontario’s GO-VAXX bus will be parked at 1200 Commissioners Road East from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The mobile clinic will be providing first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to anyone five and older and third doses to those who are eligible.

"No appointments are necessary and anyone from the neighbourhood who would like to receive a dose of the vaccine is welcome to stop by," the health unit said.

The Metrolinx bus was converted into a mobile vaccine clinic in an effort to make getting the shot as easy and accessible as possible. It has been traveling across the province, making stops at malls, community hubs, festivals, and special events. All COVID-19 public health safety measures are followed on board, including pre-entry symptom screening, mandatory face covering while inside, and post-vaccination monitoring.
