A London man and woman face several drug-and-weapons-related charges after provincial police in Oxford County conducted search warrants at two homes.
According to police, a CDSA (controlled drug and substance act) investigation was launched sometime in October by members of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit and OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement team.
On Monday, investigators announced officers obtained warrants for residential addresses in London and Tillsonburg and a search was conducted at those homes on December 2.
During the raids, police say an unspecified amount of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, LSD, MDMA, cash, along with a replica handgun were seized. All together investigators say the value of the items was just under $9,000.
As a result, two individuals were arrested. The man and woman, both 33-years-old and from London, face a combined total of 17 charges which include, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, possession of a schedule I substance, possession of a schedule I for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a schedule III substance. The man also faces multiple charges of failing to comply with a release order.
Both are scheduled to appear in court in Woodstock at a later date.
