Massage parlour owner facing more charges

The owner of an erotic massage parlour in London is facing more accusations that he sexually assaulted his employees.

London police announced more charges against Abe Vergara, 52, on Friday. The two counts of sexual assault involve female employees of Sweet City massage at 609 Clarke Road. According to police, the alleged offences happened between in 2003 and 2004.

"A media release was published in June of 2019 in relation to an historical sexual assault investigation and related charges. As part of that media release, members of the London Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section appealed to the public to contact police if they had information about that incident or similar incidents," police said Friday. "As a direct result of the public appeal, additional victims have come forward, and additional charges have been laid."

Vergara was arrested and charged in June 2019 after an investigation into allegations of sexual assaults that happened at Sweet city between 2002 and 2006. In each instance a female employee was attacked inside the business. Vergara was charged with three counts of sexual assault after that investigation.

He is to answer to the new charges in London court on May 5, 2021.

Anyone with information in relation to these incidents is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com
