Pets found safe after fire at northwest London home

No pets or people were injured after a fire broke out at a home in the city's northwest end Monday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to a residence on Limberlost Road sometime around 2 p.m.

Crews had the fire out shortly before 3 p.m. and were able to begin ventilating the home while workers searched. Light smoke wafted up from the house after the fire was extinguished.

Fire officials say pet cats were located safely inside the home. There were no injuries.

The cause was determined to be accidental. Damage is estimated at $80,000.
