St. Thomas police were called to the disturbance at a home on Wellington Street on Wednesday.
Officers determined an argument between two people who used to live together escalated with one assaulting the other.
A 31-year-old St. Thomas man was arrested without incident. He has since been charged with assault.
Hospitals in southwestern Ontario are feeling the effects of underfunding, according to a new report by the CCPA.
Fortunately, no children were on board the bus, but the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
