Murder charge laid in death on Chippewas of the Thames First Nation

A Londoner is charged with murder in connection with the death of a woman on the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation.

Police were called on Tuesday, July 19 to a home on Jubilee Road in relation to a "sudden death." When they arrived, they found the body of Shaniqua Henry, 27, of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation. An investigation was launched by the OPP, the Munsee-Delaware First Nation Police Service, and the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Police Service.

On Thursday, police announced that a charge of second degree murder had been laid against Koree Dockstater, 31, of London.

An obituary says Henry leaves behind a daughter and her partner of seven years, as well as her parents, step-father, sisters, and several aunts and uncles. Her funeral was held on July 23.
