One injured after shooting in Middlesex Centre

Provincial police in Middlesex County say one person was hurt after a reported shooting southwest of London over the weekend.

The call came in at around 12:15 a.m. Sunday according to Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). Dispatchers received word of an injured person on Sharon Drive, just south of Highway 402.

When officers arrived, they found one person suffering from several gunshot wounds. The individual was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No other information on a possible suspect(s) is available.

The OPP said it continues to investigate and asks that residents in the surrounding area to contact police if they witnessed anything relating to the incident.
