A drug investigation in Woodstock last week turned up close to $200,000 worth of illegal substances and stolen property.
Last Thursday, members of the Woodstock Police Service Criminal Intelligence and Drug Enforcement Unit, with the Community Response Unit among several other investigative teams executed search warrants at two Woodstock homes.
As a result of the searches, police seized one firearm and unspecified amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamine cocaine, crack cocaine, cash and stolen property. Police say the estimated street value of the substances is around $180,000, while approximately $10,000 worth of stolen items is valued at around $10,000.
Investigators have since laid charges against four Woodstock residents and one Toronto resident.
The investigation is ongoing.
