London police are probing an incident after a man was found unresponsive near a city park.
At around 6:47 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Gibbons Park near the Grosvenor Street entrance after they received a 911 call regarding a man without vital signs.
Police say emergency crews arrived on scene and life-saving methods were used. The man was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
"The investigation is in its early stages and has been reassigned to members of the Major Crime Section. London Police are appealing to the public for any information that may assist," a statement from police read.
Police have not specified whether the man had suffered any obvious injuries.
Investigators remained on scene as of Sunday afternoon, officers are asking the public the avoid the area for the time being.
Police say more information will be shared as it becomes available.
