Police arrested several women linked to an alleged drug trafficking operation in Tillsonburg earlier this week.
At around 8:51 p.m. Monday, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit stopped a vehicle on Broadway Street. Officers searched the vehicle and took three people into custody.
During the search, officers reportedly turned up an unspecified quantity of suspected red, blue, and green fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and cash.
Two Norfolk County women, one 42-years-old and the other 44-years-old, and a 50-year-old Tillsonburg woman are jointly charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine). The 42-year-old woman faces additional charges of possession of the proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and failing to comply with probation order.
All three are scheduled to appear in court in Simcoe at a later date.
