The arrest of a London man wanted on outstanding warrants turned up more than $4,000 worth of drugs.

Officers with the London police downtown community foot patrol were in the area of Dundas and Talbot streets around 11 a.m. on Thursday when they spotted the wanted man.

He was taken into custody without incident.

A search of the man during the arrest turned up 21.2 grams of fentanyl, 26 hydromorphone pills, and pepper spray, police said.

A 45-year-old London man is charged with two counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon, and possession of a prohibited weapon contrary to prohibition order.

He is scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on December 14.
