A candlelit vigil will be held on Friday at London's City Hall, marking one year since Russia invaded Ukraine.
The event is being organized by the Ukrainian Canadian Congress' London branch, and the organization is inviting "All Canadians from coast to coast" to join them.
"We will pay tribute to the courage of the Ukrainian people and honour the memory of the thousands of innocent Ukrainians who have lost their lives as a result of Russia’s aggression," said a statement from the Ukrainian Canadian Congress.
Invitation to the candle-lit vigil in solidarity with Ukraine on February 24, 2023.
The service will start at 6 p.m. and last about one hour. Guests are asked to gather at the Wellington Street side of London's City Hall, which is located at 300 Dufferin Avenue.
For those who cannot attend the vigil, the Ukranian Canadian Congress also "encourage[s] local businesses and institutions and all Londoners to show their support by flying Ukrainian flags or lighting up their building exteriors in blue and yellow on February 24 and throughout that weekend."
