Gunshots fired at Oxford County home

Provincial police are appealing to the public for surveillance or dash-cam footage as they investigate gunshots fired at a home northeast of Woodstock.

Multiple shots were fired at the residence on Fennel Street in Plattsville by unknown individuals around 1 a.m. Monday. Residents were home at the time, but no one was hit, Oxford OPP said.

Investigators believe there is no threat to public safety.

The OPP major crime unit and West Region OPP forensic identification services have been processing evidence found at the scene. As the investigation continues, police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time to check their surveillance, dash-cams or door-cams for anything that may be suspicious.
