Swoop to offer non-stop service from London to Abbotsford

Londoners contemplating a trip this summer will have another option to choose from when deciding their destination.

Swoop Airlines announced it will be adding a new, non-stop service from the London International Airport (YXU) to Abbotsford, British Columbia beginning late this spring.

"London and the surrounding region continue to look for more exciting destinations directly from YXU's easy and comfortable airport," said London International Airport President and CEO Scott McFadzean. "We're looking forward to the spring and the launch of Abbotsford service with Swoop."

Swoop, owned by WestJet, will offer twice-per-week service from the Forest City to the western Canada destination beginning May 19, 2023.

Come July, service will ramp up to four days per week with flights on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays through early September.

Throughout the winter, Swoop also offered flights from London to popular vacation spots, including Cancun, Mexico, and Orlando, Florida. Flights for those destinations are still available until late March for Orlando and mid-April for Cancun.
