There will be some added delays for drivers in downtown London Tuesday.
York Street between Richmond and Talbot streets will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The closure is to allow for private concrete work in the area.
During the work, westbound vehicles will be detoured onto Richmond Street, Horton Street and Ridout Street. Eastbound traffic will be directed from York to Talbot Street, King Street, and Richmond Street.
There will also be sidewalk restrictions along the one block stretch.
"Pedestrians are advised to use nearby streets to reach their destinations," city officials said.
Business access will be maintained throughout the closure.
The York Street closure comes as drivers in the downtown are already navigating road closures and lane restrictions due to construction of the bus rapid transit downtown loop. Two blocks of Queens between Wellington and Richmond streets is closed for ongoing work. There is also a northbound lane restriction on Wellington just north of King Street.
