One dead after early morning collision in Zorra Township

A single-vehicle collision in Zorra Township has resulted in the death of one person.

Police say emergency crews were called to a crash along 19th Line between 25th and 27th Line around 5 a.m.

Constable Patti Cote from the Oxford County OPP confirmed that the lone occupant of the vehicle died as a result of the collision.

The identity of the victim has not been released at this time, but police shared that they were just 18 years old.

Investigators remained on the scene until Thursday afternoon. The road has since re-opened.

“Our condolences go to the family and our thoughts are with everybody that’s been affected by this," Cote said.
