Provincial police in Elgin County are looking for four suspects following a violent home invasion earlier this week.
Four people reportedly forced their way into a home on Nova Scotia Line in Malahide Township around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. They proceeded to assault the two people inside before stealing an undisclosed amount of money and various other items.
The two residents of the home suffered non-life threatening injuries in the ordeal.
The four suspects were last seen speeding away from the home in a vehicle. A description of the quartet and the suspect vehicle has not been released.
There is no threat to public safety, OPP said in a statement issued Thursday.
"Police are reminding all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times and for useful resources, tips, and links visit www.opp.ca," police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
