A helicopter ambulance was called to transport a motorcyclist to hospital following a two-vehicle crash outside of St. Thomas Wednesday afternoon.
According to Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), at around 2:30 p.m., emergency crews responded the scene of the crash on Sparta Line, east of Centennial Road. The collision reportedly involved two drivers, one of a passenger vehicle, the other a motorcycle.
Ornge responded to airlift the motorcyclist to hospital. They reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries. The other driver did not sustain any injuries, police say.
Sparta Line was briefly closed while emergency crews and police were on scene, but it has since reopened.
No other details about the cause of the crash have been provided however, police say charges are pending at this time.
