Over $65K worth of property stolen from St. Thomas business

St. Thomas police are investigating the theft of a commercial vehicle and construction equipment from a north end business.

Shortly after midnight on Friday, a truck and trailer carrying valuable tools were allegedly taken from a commercial property.

Police said the vehicle was a 2008 International flat deck work truck with Ontario license plate BE76228. A Vermeer MX240 mud mixer and a 25-gallon diesel tank were reportedly in the bed of the truck.

A JDJ flat deck dial axle trailer bearing Ontario license plate X7261H was also attached to the work truck, according to police. They say a Vermeer directional drill was on the trailer at the time of the theft.

All together, the value of the stolen property is more than $65,000.

Officers are in the process of reviewing surveillance video in the area. Some images of the equipment were provided by the police service.
