Two youths facing charges for vandalizing religious property

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have identified the people responsible for damaging a number of religious properties around Langton.

Police say a pair of 14-year-olds have been charged with mischief and mischief to religious property in connection to incidents at Sacred Heart Church on Albert Street, two cemeteries, two schools, and a nearby arena.

On Thursday, police asked the public for help identifying the people who had spray painted two statues and a sign on the church property earlier in the week.

Officers were able to locate the suspects in a matter of days.

"The #OPP would like to say a BIG #thankyou to the community for all their assistance," said a Tweet from provincial police on Sunday. They also shared more images from the string of defacements.
