Heated argument near Aylmer ends with firearms-related charges

An Aylmer man is accused of pulling a dangerous weapon out after an argument between two people got out of hand.

According to members of the Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), officers responded to an address on Catt Line in Malahide Township just after 1 a.m. Monday for a weapons complaint.

When officer arrived, they were told a man had pulled out a firearm during a dispute. The man took off from the property before police arrived. The two people involved in the incident were known to each other, police said.

No one was hurt and no property damage was reported.
