Drivers are advised to use an alternative route Monday evening into early Tuesday morning if their commute involves part of Adelaide Street North.
Starting at 8 p.m. Monday, Adelaide Street North will be closed between Rosedale and McMahen streets while watermain work is completed as part of the Adelaide Street Underpass project.
The area will remain closed to traffic until 7 a.m. Tuesday, the City of London said.
Detour signs will be in place to assist drivers travelling north and south on Adelaide during the closure. Access to Pall Mall Street and Central Avenue from Adelaide Street North will also be closed during this time.
"Some [London Transit Commission] routes and stops may be impacted during construction. Transit riders are advised to visit the LTC website for service updates and the most up-to-date information," read a statement from city officials.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the closure. Businesses will also remain open and accessible.
