One in custody after victim found dead in west London

London police say one person has been arrested as part of an ongoing death investigation in the city’s west end.

At around 3 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to an address on Kingsway Avenue, west of Wonderland Road North for a medical emergency, police said.

When police arrived, an individual was found dead and a suspect was taken into custody without incident.

“There is no threat to public safety, and police remain on scene,” read a statement issued by police late Wednesday afternoon.

The case has been assigned to members of the London Police Service’s Major Crime Section. Police say more information will be released as it becomes available. The probe remains in its early stages.

Anyone with information is asked to call the London Police Service at 519-661-5670, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
