A London man has been accused of luring a minor relating to an online investigation by provincial police.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Child (OPP) Sexual Exploitation Unit and Middlesex County OPP Detachment announced officers have arrested a suspect in an investigation that saw the accused allegedly attempt to lure a child.
As a result, 51-year-old Grzegorz Stankiewicz of London, is charged with luring a child to facilitate sexual assault and luring a child to facilitate sexual interference.
The accused attended a bail hearing on Wednesday.
“The OPP will continue to aggressively identify and pursue individuals who use technology to exploit children,” read a statement from OPP. “Parents are reminded to take a proactive approach to help protect their children from online sexual exploitation by speaking with their children regarding Internet safety.”
