A motorcyclist has been charged with half a dozen offences including impaired driving after a serious crash south of Tillsonburg.
Emergency crews were called to the single-vehicle collision on Plank Road near Edison Drive in Vienna around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Elgin OPP determined a motorcycle collided with the guardrail.
The operator of the bike was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A 24-year-old man from Tillsonburg has since been charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs, driving with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, careless driving, driving with an improper licence, having no plates, and driving without insurance. The man's driver's licence was also automatically suspended for 90 days and the motorcycle impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear in St. Thomas court in relation to the charges on August 8.
