A London man has been charged after he allegedly tried to intimidate officers with two objects outside of police headquarters Tuesday night.
At around 7 p.m., officers were speaking with the accused in front of the police station on Dundas Street near Adelaide Street when he reportedly brandished a metal pole and a piece of broken glass.
Police allege the man started to threaten the officers before taking off into a nearby apartment inside a building on Dundas Street.
London police say the officers negotiated with the suspect for nearly two hours before he finally came out of the apartment, at which time, he was arrested.
No injuries have been reported.
A 35-year-old man is charged with possession of a weapon and assaulting a peace officer with a weapon.
The accused was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
