A London woman faces charges after she allegedly assaulted another woman with pepper spray at a business near downtown.
The incident happened at around 4 p.m. Thursday, London police said. Two women, who were unknown to each other, were at a business in the area of Oxford and Richmond streets.
Investigators said the pair started to argue with one another when one of them pulled out a can of pepper spray from her bag and allegedly sprayed the victim in the face before taking off from the store.
Police were called and they were provided with a description of the accused. She was located and arrested nearby.
No serious injuries were reported.
As a result, a 42-year-old London woman is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon or device, and resisting arrest.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on September 25.
