Fire crews responded to a house fire that started with a vehicle ablaze in the city’s northwest end Thursday afternoon.
Just after 4 p.m., members of the London Fire Department were called to a property located on Brandy Lane Court, north of Sarnia Road, and west of Wonderland Road North.
Fire officials said crews initially responded to a vehicle on fire however, it was upgraded to a structure fire after the flames spread to a residential garage, and into the home. Smoke and fire were seen coming from the property when firefighters arrived, fire officials said.
Firefighters managed to get the blaze extinguished quickly, preventing it from spreading further into the home.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire has not been released.
Damage is estimated at $75,000.
