Overnight road closure downtown

Motorists will have to find a different route, as the City closes another downtown street for construction.

It's intended to be a quick, overnight closure. Queens Avenue between Wellington and Talbot streets will be closed from 5 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday.

Crews will be paving the street as part of the Downtown Loop Phase 2 project.

According to the city, signs have been installed to warn drivers and help guide traffic through the area.

People driving are advised to plan ahead by using navigation apps such as Waze or Google Maps and use alternative routes when possible to reach their destination.

Transit riders can visit the LTC website for service updates and the most up-to-date information.

Businesses remain open and accessible, within regular hours of operation, during this work.
