20-year-old seriously injured in Woodstock armed robbery

A 18-year-old Woodstock man is facing charges in an armed robbery that sent one person to hospital with serious injuries.

Woodstock police were called about the robbery in progress in the area of Kipling Crescent and Springbank Avenue around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. Officers arrived on scene to find one person suffering serious, non-life threatening injuries. That individual was taken to hospital for treatment.

An 18-year-old man from Woodstock has been charged with seven offences including robbery with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats, possession of property obtained by crime over and under $5,000, and mischief.
