Arrests made in multiple assault investigations

St. Thomas police had their hands full on New Year's Eve.

Officers made arrests in connection to unrelated assaults made across the city.

An 18-year-old female was charged with assault following an incident in a public building. According to police, the teen kicked one of the building's employees without provocation.

Police arrested her without incident. She's since been released with a future court date.

On Sunday evening, officers responded to a home in the southwest end of the city after a report was made about a family dispute.

Police spoke with all the parties involved before making an arrest.

A 35-year-old St. Thomas man was taken into custody and charged with two counts of assault.
