Maria Medeiros, 82, of North Middlesex was found dead when police were called to a home in North Middlesex just before 9 p.m. Thursday, January 11.
Emanuel Medeiros, 59, of Middlesex County is charged with second degree murder.
Police say the investigation, which involves the OPP's Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Service, is ongoing.
Medeiros remains in custody.
