Man accused of hitting two people with his vehicle after argument

What started as an argument at a south London business ended with two people hit by a vehicle and a 19-year-old facing charges.

The bizarre incident began Monday afternoon after a man followed another man and woman home after the three got into a verbal dispute at an unnamed business in the south end. When the couple returned to their home in the area of Cathcart Street and Emery Street East, the other man allegedly rammed his vehicle into theirs. He then drove away.

The man and woman got out of their vehicle as the other driver returned and while trying to stop him from leaving the area were both hit.

London police were called and located a suspect in a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle a short distance away.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries, while the male victim suffered minor injuries that did not require treatment.

A 19-year-old London man has been charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm, failure to stop at a crash causing bodily harm, and criminal harassment by repeated following. He has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on March 5.
