Steve Miller Band coming to London

Londoners can kick off the summer by taking in an iconic classic rock performance.

Steve Miller Band is coming to Budweiser Gardens on June 27. The upcoming performance was announced by the downtown venue on Tuesday.

The band, formed in San Francisco, California in 1966, put out a string of hit singles that have withstood the test of time to become classic rock staples. The hits include “The Joker,” “Take the Money and Run,” “Rock’n Me,” “Fly Like an Eagle,” “Jet Airliner,” “Jungle Love,” “Swingtown,” and “Abracadabra."

Steve Miller Band has sold tens of millions of records and been streamed billions of times. Miller’s Greatest Hits 1974-78 received the RIAA Diamond Award with sales of more than fifteen million copies. It is among the 25 best-selling albums of all time.

The band's stop in London comes before it joins Def Leppard and Journey for 16 shows on an American summer stadium tour in July.

Tickets for the Budweiser Gardens show go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday online at www.budweisergardens.com or in person at the Budweiser Gardens Box Office. The cost of the tickets range from $82.25 to $122.25.
