Over $32K of fentanyl seized by Woodstock police

Woodstock police have charged two people and seized more than $32,000 worth of fentanyl following a trafficking investigation.

The two individuals from Woodstock were arrested on Dundas Street between Riddell Street and Graham Street on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said a search warrant was then carried out at an address on Delatre Street and as a result, roughly $32,910 worth of suspected fentanyl and $575 in Canadian cash was seized.

A 52-year-old woman and 38-year-old man, both from Woodstock, have been charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused were set to remain in custody for a bail hearing.
