Man charged in north London break-in

Charges have been laid against a 49-year-old man after a north London business was broken into over the long weekend.

London police were notified by an alarm monitoring centre about the break and enter at the unnamed business in the area of Hyde Park and South Carriage roads around 2:20 a.m. on Saturday. When officers arrived they found a hole in the fence and property of the business sitting outside of the fenced compound.

Police got a description of a suspect after reviewing surveillance footage and arrested a man a short distance away.

A 49-year-old man is charged with break and enter and theft, mischief under $5,000, and possession of break-in instruments. He is scheduled to appear in court in relation to the charges on June 18.
