A section of Dundas Place will again be transformed into Knights Court this weekend.
Just as it did for the London Knights' first three games at the Memorial Cup tournament in Michigan, the City of London is again inviting Londoners to the flex-street to view the championship game on the big screen for free Sunday night.
The Knights will be playing the winner of Friday night's Saginaw Spirit-Moose Jaw Warriors semi-final in the Memorial Cup final. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
The viewing party between Ridout and Talbot streets - now dubbed Knights Court - on Dundas Place is being offered in partnership with the London Knights, Downtown London, and Tourism London. Those planning on attending can bring a lawn chair to sit on and snacks to munch. Budweiser Gardens is opening its concessions for the game, as well as its washrooms.
Similar viewing parties held this week drew dozens of people. While technical issues thinned the crowd last Saturday, games held on Monday and Wednesday went off without a hitch.
The one block stretch of Dundas will be closed to vehicular traffic as of 8 a.m. on Sunday.
This is the Knights fourth time playing in the Memorial Cup final. They last won the tournament in 2016.
