London police have made an arrest in a stabbing in Old East Village earlier this week that left a man in hospital with serious injuries.
Police were called to Queens Avenue near Adelaide Street where they found an injured man around 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The man was sent to hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. He remained there as of Friday morning.
Investigators determined the man knew his attacker.
A suspect was identified and arrested Thursday afternoon. A search by officers with the police service's uniformed division and guns and gangs section turned up a machete, a Maverick shotgun, a large amount of ammunition, 592 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 40 grams of fentanyl, 539 hydromorphone pills, 28 oxycodone TEC pills, 14 morphine 100mg pills, dime bags, and a digital scale.
The total value of the drugs seized is $17,273, police said.
Jamar Delisser, 33, of London, is charged with 15 offences in relation to the stabbing and drugs and weapons seizure. The charges against him include aggravated assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, assault, possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm or ammunition, possession of a loaded or unloaded regulated firearm, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order, and possession of drugs.
He is scheduled to appear in London court on Friday.
